BBB - Bimbingan Belajar Bungur

Holaaa,

This time I wouldn't talk about vacation, but I'd talk about my activity, BBB... Because I really miss them.

BBB is not Indonesian's boy band, but Bimbingan Belajar Bungur. It's a social community organized by Sahabat Anak.

First, I'll tell you when, why and how I joined Sahabat Anak.

I joined Sahabat Anak as a volunteer and since 2012 I'm located at BBB. The reason I joined Sahabat Anak is I have enough everything that everyone is willing to have; i.e family, education, and income. Maybe for others, it's not too great, but for me it's enough ^^ So because I have enough, I thought that it's time to give back to society. I don't want to give money, because it's too easy ^^ I want to get involved with them, so I tried to find information about suitable organization for me. Then I read Kak Sari's (Kak Sari is my travel mate to Green Canyon - Pangandaran) timeline on Facebook. She wrote many things about Sahabat Anak and I'm interested, so I contacted her and ask how to join. She explained that I can join as a teacher or I can join as a volunteer for their big event, Jambore Sahabat Anak, which held once a year. She said if I want to see things first, I can join as volunteer. I thought what she said was good enough for me as I was still busy with my study. So I told her to let me know if they recruit volunteers. Kak Sari is really helpful, she even recruited me to join her new group in Galur for Jambore Sahabat Anak 2012.

After Jambore Sahabat Anak 2012, I felt that WOOOOWWW it's hard to take care these kids. They're really naughty and wouldn't do what you said at the time you told them. However, that's might be because their way of life. They're night children. They used to sleep in the morning and wake up at night. So, because in Jambore Sahabat Anak we have day activities, these kids were hardly follow those activities, what they want was sleeping ~.~ But honestly, for me as an adult, the activities were kinda boring ^^ and hard to understand. Overall, I had a lot of learning experiences from these kids. Too bad that there's no follow up activities after Jambore Sahabat Anak 2012. I won't give up and still join Sahabat Anak as volunteer in 2013.

In 2013, Sahabat Anak changed the event into 3 months program called KADO (Karya Anak Indonesia) and Jambore Sahabat Anak as the final event. This time, I volunteered in Bungur and our group is called BBB. Honestly, the kids in BBB have different characteristic than Galur. The environment really affects how this kids act. I learn to know about this kids more because I have 3 months time. I came to Bungur every week and even I can't play music or even sing, at least my moral support could help these kids prepare their performance for KADO. Luckily, I could contribute to guide them how to make accessories.

From my activities I learned that these kids need affection more than money. They will be really happy if we can come every week to play with them or even to talk with them. So playing together with them, at least, I could decrease my negative thoughts when I see marginal kids on road. Don't give money to them, but we better change the money into another form, such as snacks / food.
look how they smile ^^

GLAY - A Tribute

Does anyone know about GLAY? I don't think so...

GLAY is a Japanese group band and established since 1988. They are consists of 4 main members + 1 additional drummer. They are Teru (vocalist), Takuro (guitarist), Hisashi (guitarist), and Jiro (bassist).

I knew them since my senior high. My friend introduce me to GLAY, she lend me their videos. At first time, I accept those videos just because I appreciate my friend's kindness. But it changed... I fell in love directly when I saw their video performance Glay Expo'99 Survival. O.M.G, I love the way Hisashi played his guitar and Teru's beautiful voice and energetic performance. I was so mesmerized.

Since that time, I'm crazy about GLAY. I have all their songs, their lyrics and translations, their video concerts, their video music, their posters, their pictures. I don't mind to spend a lot of money for them. I said a lot because at that time I'm still a student without income ^^

They are old now. My brother always said, "Are you still in love with the "grandpa's band"? But, like one of their song, I'm just in love on singin' my life. I don't know why, but their song could move my moods. I can cry when I heard their music, I can relax when I heard their voice, I can laugh hardly when I saw their video music. They are talented, I believe so. Because they can perform all kind of music, such as ballads, pop, rock, jazz. And because they're still exist until now.

So as conclusion, even they're old now, they have my life time loyalty ^^

I have a dream, which is watching GLAY live performance directly in Japan. It sounds crazy for some people, such as my family, because it will be really expensive. But for me, it's like a dream comes true. Hope God really permits me to see them soon.
