Andy picked us up at 9 AM. So, we're ready at 8 AM to have breakfast. As usual, we only ate toast and tea ^^ We enjoyed Forest Hostel common room by taking some pictures ^^
narcissism at Forest Hostel |
Our first destination, Jeju Stone Park, just like the name, it's all about the stone ~.~ quite boring for me. Actually, we only went there to see the icon of Jeju Island, which is grandma and grandpa statue, but we ended up looking around the museum of stones ^^ Which is, if I can honestly say, we wouldn't even come to that kind of museum in Indonesia.
inside the museum - there's a big Jeju Map like you can see above |
We spent quite a time in Jeju Stone Park, especially the outdoor area, because it's ancient. FYI, there's a belief that if you (husband and wife) want to have a child, you need to carve the nose of grandma / grandpa statue and drink the flakes with water. Wanna try?
outside the museum |
After that, we went to Miniland. It's the miniature of famous spots in the world. Unfortunately, it's poorly - maintained. It might be because it's outdoor, so the climate changes influenced the statues' condition.
it still looked good in the picture right? |
Then we went to Trick Art Museum. Andy ~ our tour guide ~ said it's our time to warm up in indoor area. Yes... finally.. Oia, FYI, in our first plan, we didn't plan to go to Trick Art Museum, we planned to go to Alive Museum. Both have same theme. Andy said it's in the same direction with our next destination, Seongsan Ilculbong Peak. He also said if we went to Trick Art Museum today, we could go to another destination tomorrow, which is O'Sulloc Green Tea Museum. My impression about Trick Art Museum was it's really hard to take picture like real, haiz it made me really tired to pose like you can see below...
maintain balance ^^ |
train the wild animals ^^ |
water and wine comes out from the painting |
I have a wing ~ just like a song from 90's boyband |

stairs and stairs and stairs... |
Because it's already a lunch time, Andy brought us to a seafood steamboat restaurant (correct me if I was wrong). Andy said he saw in our list, we wanted to eat all kind of seafood, so it'd be great if we eat one time at that restaurant. My comment about our lunch was SUPERB... it was really delicious that I forgot to take picture of the food before we ate. The seafood was so fresh.. Finally I ate abalone (I saw Korean eats abalone in Family Outing ^^), crab, scallops, fish... Ooow, just imagine about it, I'm already drooling ^^ The price was good and I thought many celebrities or famous people in Korean came to this restaurant, as you can see below.
delicious.. perfect for chilly weather... |
Then, we continued our journey to Seongsan Ilculbong Peak. Yeay, from outdoor to outdoor, and it's freaking windy. Because of it's really cold and strong wind, we decided not to go to the peak. Hehe... it's just a lie, actually we're just too lazy to climb up ^^ However the wind was no kidding, I, with my weight, was almost flown away.
it's really beautiful especially if we can reach the peak |
From Seongsan Ilculbong Peak, we stopped by to Canola Garden. The yellow color was really beautiful, although it's winter. Andy said it's great in the spring time, the yellow was brighter than in winter.
you see? It's pretty right? |
We continued our journey to Light House "All In" Film Location. The location is in a resort, but sorry, I forgot the name. The Light House was like another light house, but the scenery was amazing. I thought the most pretty thing was the presence of old church.
when I saw this Church, I really missed to be in a Church, I skipped my Sunday Mass |
Last destination for today was Seungeup Folk Village. If you watched Korean Dramas or Movies such as Dae Jang Geum.. yeay this is it, the old Korean House. Actually I imagined something like in Princess Hours, but the reality was these house is really old and for me it's scary, especially because we came at dawn and none around the village except us >_< Andy said we needed to be careful if there's "ahjumma" wants to tour us around the village and act like she's nice, because it's camouflage.. she later would sell something expensive and if we don't buy she would be really mad.
traditional like Kung Fu movies |
it's tempting right? The meat was so tender *drooling* |
